May 27, 2020 – Highway 31A

One of my favorite drives is around the Slocan Valley and on this particular trip I was originally planning to check out a waterfall up past Nakusp. On my return trip I figured there was enough daylight left to quickly head up Highway 31A from New Denver. I have a fairly cheap 55-200mm lens for my Nikon which I bought as a “just in case” and I figured I would rarely use it, but there was one particular spot on the drive which seemed to have a good view of this distant mountain. Based on the direction I was facing, if I had to guess I’d say this is one of the peaks of Mt Brennan.
