May 9, 2019 – Revelstoke, BC

This photo was pretty much accidental. I was driving down some random back roads in Revelstoke, BC and pulled over to walk through some trees toward a lake. I didn’t bring my whole camera kit, just the D7200 with the 35mm. Happened to see the light on this small plant near the ground so I dialed the camera to f/1.8 to shoot the photo and continued walking. After going through the memory card at home, this one seemed to be the best photo of the day. No editing was done aside from sizing the image down from the original resolution.
